(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - Italian electricity bills will fall
an estimated 19.5% in the first quarter of 2023 on the last
quarter of 2022, price regulator ARERA said Thursday night.
The fall is due to a drop in the price of gas and energy cost
mitigation moves in the 2022 budget, it said.
The 35-billion-euro package contains 21 billion euros of
measures aimed at cushioning the effects of power bill hikes due
to the Ukraine war. (ANSA).
