(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 30 - A figurine of Brazil and world soccer
icon Pelé, who has died of cancer aged 82, has joined the
figures in the Naples presepe of top nativity scene maker Genny
Di Virgilio.
'The King' of soccer is shown in his national shirt with his
hand raised in celebration, echoing a famous photo of the player
who usually ranks with Naples' own Argentina great Diego
Maradona as the two best players ever.
Under the statuette in his famed workshop on the southern city's
presepe street Via Gregorio Armeno, Di Virgilio has placed the
message "Ciao Pelé". (ANSA).
