(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 19 - Deputy Premier and Transport and
Infrastructure Minister Matteo Salvini said Thursday that bans
unilaterally introduced at the Brenner Pass by Austria were
unacceptable.
He said he would take action with the EU against them.
The new Austrian measures are aimed at restricting the
circulation of heavy goods vehicles in the Tyrol region.
"It is not acceptable that...Austria should set limits that
inure the free circulation of men and goods, blocking Italian
lorries at the entrance towards the Tyrol," said the rightwing
League leader. (ANSA).
