Italy embassy in Khartoum closed says Tajani

(ANSA) - ROME, APR 24 - The Italian embassy in Khartoum has closed amid fierce fighting between the forces of two rival generals that has spurred the evacuation of Western diplomats and nationals, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Monday.
    "Everything proceeded in the best way possible, the Italians have been placed in safety, our embassy has been closed, very probably we will move it on a temporary basis either to Ethiopia or Egypt," he told TG3. (ANSA).
