(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - A group of 138 refugees and migrants
landed in Crotone in Italy's southern Calabria region on
Thursday after being rescued by a Frontex patrol boat with
support from the Italian coast guard 15 nautical miles out to
sea.
The survivors included 41 minors, of whom 7 were unaccompanied.
There was also a 20-day-old baby boy.
The group - 108 Afghans, 19 Iranians, 7 Syrians, 2 Uzbeks and 2
Pakistanis - reportedly departed from Turkey five days ago.
