(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 18 - Udinese have changed their minds and
will no longer be sporting rainbow gear to mark Wednesday's
homophobia day at the weekend, instead donning kit voicing
solidarity with Italy's flood victims in their game against
Lazio, they said Thursday.
They will wear their usual balck and white stripes but then
those shirts will be put up for auction with the proceeds going
to the people of Emilia Romagna who have been hit by this week's
deadly and devastating floods.
The rainbow kit for the International Day against Homophobia,
Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) on Wednesday will be saved for
a future occasion, the northern Italian club said. (ANSA).
