(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 19 - AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho's first
thoughts went to flood-ravaged Emilia Romagna after his side
reached the final of the Europa League with Thursday's 0-0 draw
at Bayer Leverkusen.
"First of all, we want to send a message of strength to
Emilia-Romagna," he said.
"People can bring the best out of themselves in difficult
moments.
"It's certainly a moment of joyous celebration in Rome, but we
can't forget about the sadness and difficult situation for the
people in Emilia-Romagna".
It is the second successive season that Roma have reached a
European final after they won the Conference League last year to
end a long trophy drought. (ANSA).
