(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 24 - Rome prosecutors' sexual violence
group on Wednesday arrested a 50-year-old Italian man sought for
over 10 years for being one of Italy's most prolific producers
of child pornography on the Dark Web and also suspected of
luring and abusing boys under the age of 10.
The man is accused of operating for years in a paedophiles'
virtual community called The Love Zone (TLZ), which has since
been shut down but where he made child pornographic material
available for users.
The man, known by the pseudonym Shadow, succeeded in escaping
arrest for more than 10 years, eluding police even when they
arrested other members of the group, judicial sources said.
He has been charged with aggravated sexual violence, conspiracy
to practice criminal paedophilia, sharing information useful for
luring minors, and exchanging, possessing and diffusing child
pornographic material, as well as abusing the minors. (ANSA).
