(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 11 - Carabinieri police and firefighters have launched a massive search with two sniffer-dog units for a five-year-old girl who went missing in the Novoli district of Florence at about 13:00 on Saturday.
The mother said the child, who is of Peruvian origin, was nowhere to be seen when she came home from work.
A neighbour reported that the missing girl was playing with her daughter, but they had a row and her child returned home.
She said she thought the missing child, whose name is Kataleva, was with her own relatives.
"I ask you to help me search for her in some way," the mother appealed.
"Too many hours have passed and I don't know anything".
The search is concentrated on the area of an illegally occupied building where the missing child's family live. (ANSA).
