Russian situation confirms Putin's failure - COPASIR head

(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 24 - The chair of the parliamentary intelligence oversight panel COPASIR, Lorenzo Guerini, on Saturday told ANSA that Russian militia Wagner's revolt against Moscow and declaring a civil war was proof of the failure of President Vladimir Putin's invasion of UKraine.
    "The news coming from Russia is certainly shocking. The information we see on the world's TV stations, on the websites and social media are very fragmented...(but) what appears certain to me is that it is another dramatic confirmation that Putin's infamous decision to wage an unjustified war on Ukraine is every more proving to be a strategic failure that, as well as inflicting incredible suffering on the UKrainian people, is having internal consequences whose outcome is still unforeseeable", said Guerini, a member of the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD).
    "On our part, we must continue to support Ukraine's resistance in defence of its freedom and territorial sovereignty". (ANSA).
