(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 26 - Italy beat Switzerland 3-2 in their
second Group D match at the Cluj Arena in Romania on Sunday to
keep their European Under-21 Championship hopes alive after a
disappointing 1-2 defeat by France on Thursday.
The Azzurrini played a "great first half then paid for it in the
second" said Italy Under-21 coach Paolo Nicolato, referring to
Switzerland's near-comeback from three goals down.
"Now we need to recover our energy for Norway," he continued.
Let's start again like this, at least now we have these three
points. We have been through a very difficult moment and it was
not easy. We are very happy," concluded Nicolato.
Italy meet Norway in the third Group D match on Wednesday.
