(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 5 - Pier Silvio Berlusconi said Wednesday
that he does not intend to go into politics and try to fill the
gap left by the death last month of his father, ex-premier
Silvio Berlusconi, at least for the moment.
"I have no intention of going into politics," Mediaset CEO
Berlusconi said.
"Politics is a serious job and you don't learn it from one day
to the next".
He then added, however, that "something moved at the emotional
level" when the media billionaire and Forza Italia leader died.
"I thought about his relationship with the Italian people and
with Italy, made of love and of liberty," he said.
"It's a legacy that must live on.
"Besides, I am 54. My father was 58 when he went into politics".
When asked who would replace his father, he replied: "no one,
ever".
"The more the days pass, the more enormous is the amount I miss
him," he said
Pier Silvio Berlusconi is the second of the four-time premier's
five children. (ANSA).
