(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 9 - The NGO ship Open Arms arrived in the
port of Brindisi in Italy's southern Puglia region on Sunday
carrying 299 migrants and refugees rescued in the central
Mediterranean.
The group, from Eritrea, Egypt, Ethiopia, Benin, Ivory Coast and
Cameroon, included numerous unaccompanied minors and three
pregnant women.
Brindisi Prefect Michela La Iacona said the general condition of
the rescued migrants and refugees was good and that no critical
situations had been reported.
