(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 6 - Democratic Party (PD) leader Elly
Schlein on Sunday called on Premier Giorgia Meloni to intervene
after Lazio Region Communications Chief Marcello De Angelis said
three of the far-right terrorists convicted of the 1980 Bologna
train station bombing were innocent.
Schlein said the comments were "despicable".
"If the head of the Lazio Region cannot do it, Premier Giorgia
Meloni should take immediate action," Schlein said.
"It was serious that Meloni was not able to say that it was a
neo-fascist massacre on the day of the anniversary.
"It would be extremely serious if she continued to allow her
companions to turn the truth established in court on its head.
"(She should) put an end once and for all to this atrocious
attack on history". (ANSA).
