(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 18 - An Italian army general who was
relieved of his command after making anti-gay comments in a
self-published book said Friday he would not respond publicly to
the measure taken against him, but only in the appropriate fora.
"When I wrote this book I knew it would give rise to discussion
but I certainly did not expect this fuss.
As well as gays, who were described as "not normal", Vannucci
also took aim at feminists and environmental activists in his
book. (ANSA).
