Inter-force anti-crime operation underway in Rome and Naples

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 7 - Police, Carabinieri police, finance police, firefighters and local police on Thursday began two inter-force anti-crime operations in Rome and Naples.
    In the capital drugs and weapons searches were underway in 80 homes in Via dell'Archeologia in the deprived and crime-ridden eastern suburb of Tor Bella Monaca.
    In Naples operations focused on the central Quartieri Spagnoli, or 'Spanish neighborhood.
    In total, 800 officers were involved. (ANSA).
