(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 18 - David Carbon, Amazon's vice-president
for its Prime Air division, said Wednesday that the online
retailer will start delivering packages via drone in Italy and
the United Kingdom by late 2024.
"Our aim is to deliver 500 million products with drones by the
end of the decade, so that it is safer than going to a shop in a
car and buying them," Carbon told the Amazon 'Delivering the
Future' in Seattle.
The drone deliveries will start with packages weighing up to
about 2.26kg to clients that meet certain conditions. (ANSA).
