(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 22 - Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Sunday Italy hopes to get 19 people out of Gaza as soon as possible.
    "We have tried to be the bridge between the Arab world, the Jewish world and the Christian world. The first concern is to free the hostages, who are many, there are also two Italian-Israeli ones. Then there is a group of Italians south of Gaza: 19 people including 7-8 Italians while the others are children and wives of these compatriots, whom we hope to get out of Gaza as soon as possible," he told Rai 3.
    "Our embassy in Cairo is also working to go and get them the moment it is decided".
    The Rafah crossing from Egypt into Gaza has only been opened twice this weekeend, for aid trucks, but no one has been allowed out of the Strip. (ANSA).
