(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 31 - The brother of Saman Abbas, an
18-year-old Pakistani-Italian woman allegedly killed by her
family near Reggio Emilia in 2021 after refusing an arranged
marriage, told their trial Tuesday that he had seen his uncle
grab her by the neck and drag her behind a greenhouse before
killing her.
"I saw the whole scene. I was at the door. My sister was
walking, my uncle grabbed her by the neck and carried her behind
the greenhouse. I saw the cousins, just their faces", he told
the Assize Court, recounting the alleged final moments of the
girl's life, allegedly killed in Novellara, on the evening of 30
April 2021.
The brother one again accused his uncle and cousins of
materially carrying out the crime organised, according to
prosecution, with Saman's parents, who are also on trial with
the uncle and two cousins. (ANSA).
