(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 9 - Cyber attacks in Italy in the first
six months of 2023 grew four times more than the global average,
the Italian Association for Information Security CLUSIT said on
Thursday.
In the first half of 2023 cyber attacks in Italy rose by 40%
over the same period in 2022.
This compared to an increase of 11% at global level.
From January to June, Italian victims accounted for 9.6% of the
total according to CLUSIT.
In addition, the association said in Italy in the first half of
2023 'hacktivism' attacks linked to international conflicts
represented 30% of the total, up from 6.9% in the same period
last year.
At global level, over 37% of hacktivism attacks purposes
targeted Italian organisations, added CLUSIT. (ANSA).
