(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 10 - Juvenile crime is on the rise in
Italy, according to a report presented by the interior
ministry's Criminalpol department on Friday.
It said criminal cases involving minors had gone up by 15.
It said most of the minors cited for criminal offences were aged
between 16 and 17.
The report said 39,47% of cases involved crimes such as theft,
robbery, receiving stolen goods and extortion.
It said juvenile delinquents frequently show "no empathy" for
their victims and increasingly use social media for criminal
purposes and to spread a "culture of illegality". (ANSA).
