(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 19 - The sister of murdered Italian
student Giulia Cecchettin, Elena, on Sunday took strong
exception to a post by Deputy Premier and Transport Minister
Matteo Salvini, leader of the rightwing League party, which she
said cast doubt on the guilt of her sister's ex boyfriend
Filippo Turetta "because he is white and from a good family".
In his post after Turetta's arrest in Germany, Salvini said "if
guilty, no sentence discount and life imprisonment".
Elena Cecchettin responded: "Minister of Transport doubting
Turetta's guilt because he is white, because he is 'from a good
family'. This too is violence, state violence." (ANSA).
