(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 20 - Deputy Premier, Transport Minister
and rightwing League party leader Matteo Salvini on Monday
stressed the family's role in detecting potential perpetrators
of femicides.
"We as the League fought the battle for civic education, which
is now a reality, I say this as a father, however: the school
must be the school, society the society, the institutions the
institutions, but the family must be the family," he told
reporters on the murder of student Giulia Cecchettin, allegedly
by her ex boyfriend Filippo Turetta.
"Because it is clear and obvious that the school cannot get
everywhere, nor can the mayor or the minister. It is the mum and
dad who have to understand if they have someone at home who
risks becoming a problem". (ANSA).
