Pope urges peace for Israeli and Palestinian 'brothers'

(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 22 - Pope Francis on Wednesday posted a video appeal for peace between the Israelis and Palestinians calling them "brother peoples.
    "It is heavy what is happening in the Holy Land. It is very heavy. The Palestinian people, the people of Israel, have the right to peace, they have the right to live in peace: two brotherly peoples", he said in the message in Spanish with subtitles in English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic and Hebrew.
    "Let us pray for peace in the Holy Land. Let us pray for disputes to be resolved through dialogue and negotiations and not with a mountain of deaths on both sides. Please, let us pray for peace in the Holy Land." (ANSA).
