Meloni sees Sisi, working for sustainable peace in Gaza

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - Premier Giorgia Meloni met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the sidelines of the COP28 conference with the ongoing crisis in the Middle East at the top of their agenda.
    On the issue, the premier's office at Palazzo Chigi explained, "there was agreement on the continuation of urgent and coordinated diplomatic action to contain its further expansion and the related humanitarian consequences".
    Italy and Egypt, Chigi said, "agreed to continue working in a spirit of enhanced cooperation in order to achieve sustainable peace in Gaza". (ANSA).
