(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 2 - A 97-year-old woman has got a 'mega'
prosthesis for an acute knee problem, a hospital in the Marche
coastal resort of Pesaro said Saturday.
The hospital said the operation to fit the artificial knee had
been a complete success and the patient had been able to
gradually return to normality.
"Thanks to the important progress within the framework of
prosthetic surgery," explained Pesaro Urbino local health agency
general manager Nadia Storti, "an operation of elevated
complexity has been possible also on an elderly patient".
