(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 11 - Federico Marcelli, a 49-year-old from
Pesaro, convicted of raping two ex-girlfriends, was arrested in
Umbria Monday after a month on the run.
On 15 November he had escaped from his mother's house, where he
was under house arrest, by breaking his electronic bracelet.
He had been sentenced in first instance to a total of 6 years
and 4 months, a sentence that was confirmed on appeal. He was
awaiting a final verdict from the Court of Cassation, initially
scheduled for the end of November.
He was caught by the Carabinieri, in an area near the Marche
border. (ANSA).
