(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 13 - A young Italian man got more than six
years in jail on appeal Wednesday for killing his father near
Turin in summer 2020 while defending his mother from an
umpteenth instance of domestic abuse in their home near the
Piedmont capital.
The man, Alex Pompa, had been acquitted at the first-instance
trial on grounds of self-defence but was given six years, two
months and 20 days by the Turin appeals court.
Pompa was convicted of homicide at Collegno (Turin) aftre he
stabbed his father, Giuseppe, to death in defence of his mother
during yet another family quarrel. (ANSA).
