(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 21 - Napoli president Aurelio De
Laurentiis welcomes the EU Court of Justice ruling on the
so-called Super League case, sources at the club told ANSA on
Thursday.
The same sources recalled that film producer and business man
has already expressed opinions in line with Thursday's ruling
that the FIFA and UEFA rules on prior approval of interclub
football competitions are contrary to EU law.
De Laurentiis is reportedly ready to take part in a dialogue
with other big European clubs to build the project for a
seasonal football competition for club teams in Europe.
The Napoli president has said several times that he is in favour
of a Super League as an alternative tournament based on merit
criteria. (ANSA).
