Electric cars 4.2% of market in 2023

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 2 - Electric cars accounted for just 4.2% of Italian market sales in 2023, sector group ANFIA said Tuesday.
    E-car sales rose 35% last year, it said.
    Vehicles with alternative propulsion rose 21.8% in sales in 2023 but were over half of the market at 54%.
    BEV and hybrid cars of all types accounted for 44.8% of last year's sales, up 24.2%. (ANSA).
