(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said
Wednesday he has always disassociated himself from any
demonstration evoking past dictatorships, including the Fascist
salute.
"I do not read the newspapers," said Crosetto, a member of
Premier Giorgia Meloni's Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, in
response to a question on the furore over the Fascist salute
performed by hundreds of right-wing participants in the Acca
Larentia commemoration in Rome on Sunday.
Asked whether he disassociated himself from the gesture, he
said: "I have always disassociated myself".
"I have always disassociated myself from any demonstration that
recalls past regimes," he added. (ANSA).
