(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - Five people have been officially
reported in connection with the Fascist salutes made by hundreds
of participants commemorating the 46th anniversary of the deaths
of three far-right youth militants allegedly by far-left
militants in Rome on Sunday.
The citations came after the DIGOS special security and
political police branch submitted an initial report to
prosecutors on Tuesday reconstructing happened during the event
outside the former headquarters of the neoFascist Italian Social
Movement (MSI) in Via Acca Larentia.
The commemoration was attended by extreme right-wing militants
and some fringe ultras supporters, but not by Premier Giorgia
Meloni's Bothers of Italy (FdI), an heir to the MSI, which the
party itself said had organised two alternative events.
The DIGOS are continuing to identify the people who performed
the Fascist salute.
Apology of Fascism is outlawed in Italy. (ANSA).
