(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 24 - The Senate on Wednesday gave the
green light to a decree extending the authorisation to transfer
military assets to Ukraine until 31 December 2024, in line with
Italy's international commitments in helping Kyiv fend off the
Russian invasion.
The measure, which was approved with 113 ayes and 18 nays, and
no abstentions, now passes to the Lower House, the Chamber of
Deputies.
Premier Giorgia Meloni has been staunch in her determination to
help Ukraine.
The opposition 5-Star MOvement (M5S) is against sending further
arms to Kyiv. (ANSA).
