(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - Protesting farmers group Agricultural
Redemption will hold a demonstration by driving their tractors
into Rome's Piazza San Giovanni on Friday, the group said
Wednesday.
An agreement on the protest venue was reached at the end of a
series of meetings between the police headquarters and the
leaders of the farmers' movement.
About 1,500 people with ten tractors will take part in the
demonstration.
Initially, the group had asked for a procession on the Grande
Raccordo Anulare (GRA) ring road around the capital for the same
day. (ANSA).
