We want deeds from govt says farmers head belying Meloni

Don't want electioneering, want Lollobrigida's head says Calvani

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - The leader of Italy's main farmers' protest group said his members wanted "deeds" from the government and described as "electioneering" Premier Giorgia Meloni's claim to have defended Italian farmers long before the current round of protests with roving tractors.
"For the moment we haven't had any contact with Palazzo Chigi," said the leader of Farmers Betrayed, Danilo Calvani, commenting on Meloni's claims.
"By launching the mobilisation that will start tomorrow in Rome we have given the government a five-day ultimatum to get out of all EU treaties that are killing agriculture and for the resignation of (Farm) Minister (Francesco) Lollobrigida." "We want deeds. We're only concerned about our campaigns, not electoral campaigns". (ANSA).
