(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 8 - Italy and the Holy See on Thursday
reached an agreement on the new headquarters of the Rome-based
and Vatican-owned Bambino Gesù Hospital, one of Italy's premier
children's hospitals.
The declaration of intent signed today between Italy and the
Holy See on the new headquarters of the Bambino Gesù has "been
the subject of a year-long joint effort", said Cabinet Secretary
Alfredo Mantovano, at the end of the signing with Cardinal
Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State.
"Mantovano said that the agreement represents 'the outcome of
the common will to provide adequate space for children with
serious illnesses, their families, the doctors who treat them,
and research.
"When you say that politics must take care of important and
serious things, this is the case". (ANSA).
