(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 12 - The Serie A assembly on Monday
rejected a proposal to cut the number of teams in the Italian
top flight from 20 to 18.
While the four biggest clubs, Inter, Juventus, AC Milan and AS
Roma, voted in favour of the 18-team format in order to ease
fixture congestion, the other 16 voted to keep things as they
are. (ANSA).
