(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 13 - Now is th time when Israel will see who its real friends are, Israeli Ambassador to Italy Alon Bar said Tuesday amid criticism of its response to the October Hamas attack that killed 1,200 people, with the bombing of Gaza so far claiming almost 30,000 lives.
    "This is a testing time for us. We are certainly not saints. We have made, and unfortunately probably will make, mistakes," said Bar, speaking at the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Israel. "But this is also a time of trial for our friends, of friendly countries.
    "A time when we see who stands by us.
    "Who is really committed to Israel's security and not just using this slogan on calm days, just to go through the motions".
