(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 15 - The Italian government is working on
clear instructions from parliament on Gaza, Premier Giorgia
Meloni said Thursday in joint statements with Romanian Prime
Minister Marcel Ciolacu at Villa Pamphilj in Rome.
"We are increasingly concerned by recent developments in the
Middle East, particularly the safety of hostages, the safety of
civilians in the Rafah area, and the risk of further escalation
of the conflict," she said with Ciolacu.
"The government acknowledges the clear indication that emerged
from parliament (towards a cease-fire, ed.), and we will work in
this direction in the international sphere and in particular in
the context of the Italian presidency of the G7". (ANSA).
