(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 21 - Fiorentina said Wednesday its Cote
d'Ivoire forward Christian Kouamé had been hospitalised with
malaria after returning to Florence Saturday following his
county's Africa Cup of Nations victory.
The Viola said the 26-year-old player had been suffering from "a
fever and general malaise".
He tested positive for malaria Wednesday morning and was taken
to hospital in the Tuscan capital. (ANSA).
