(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 23 - United States President Joe Biden
will meet Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni at the White House on
March 1, the US administration said on Friday
"President Biden will welcome Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of
Italy to the White House on March 1 to reaffirm the strong
relationship between the United States and Italy," read a
statement by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
"They will discuss shared approaches to address global
challenges, including their commitment to continue supporting
Ukraine as it confronts Russia's aggression, preventing regional
escalation in the Middle East, delivering humanitarian aid to
the people of Gaza, developments in North Africa, and close
transatlantic coordination regarding the People's Republic of
China.
"They will also discuss Italy's G7 presidency and coordinate in
advance of the NATO Summit in Washington". (ANSA).
