(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 24 - The government is to restore the
crime of employing illicit workers in tenders amid a spate of
fatal workplace accidents that last week saw five workers die at
a Florence building site, Labour Minister Marina Calderone said
Saturday.
She said the decriminalisation of this offence, in 2016, "has
not led to results in terms of combatting irregularities".
The move would be part of an upcoming package to boost workplace
safety, she said. (ANSA).
