(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 1 - Italy's annual inflation rate remained
stable at 0.8% in February, the same level as January, according
to a provisional estimate released by Istat on Friday.
The national statistics agency said its consumer price index
rose by 0.1% in month-on-month terms in February.
The index had increased by 0.3% in January with respect to
December.
Istat said core inflation had remained on a downward trend.
The index excluding energy and unprocessed food decelerated from
+2.7% to +2.4% in February, while and the index excluding only
energy goods went from +3.0% to +2.7%. (ANSA).
