(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 5 - Inter continued their seemingly
unstoppable march towards the Serie A title on Monday, beating
Genoa 2-1 at San Siro to move 15 points clear of second-placed
Juventus with 11 games to go.
Albania midfielder Kristjan Asllani set Simone Inzaghi's team on
their way with a goal on the half-hour mark and Alexis Sanchez
converted a penalty shortly after to double the lead.
Mexico defender Johan Vasquez pulled one back for the visitors
with a fine strike from the edge of the area in the second half
and 12-placed Genoa made Inter sweat for their 12th consecutive
win in all competitions, as they pushed hard for an equalizer in
the closing stages.
If Inter win this year's Serie A title, it will be their 20th,
which will give them the right to have a second star on their
shirts. (ANSA).
