(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 8 - A group of 46 migrants from Pakistan
and Egypt were rescued from rocks on the westernmost point of
Lampedusa on Friday.
The coast guard also recovered one dead body.
The group is understood to have departed from Zuwara in Libya on
Wednesday evening and paid between 4,000 and 6,000 euro for the
crossing.
Following preliminary medical checks the survivors will be
transferred to the hotspot reception centre in contrada
Imbriacola, joining the 15 people already there.
