(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 18 - Inter centre back Francesco Acerbi
has been dropped by Italy for this week's friendlies against
Venezuela and Ecuador in the US on Thursday and Sunday after
allegedly aiming a racist slur at Napoli's Brazilian defender
Juan Jesus during Sunday night's 1-1 draw at the San Siro.
Acerbi allegedly called Juan Jesus a "n**ger".
Napoli on Monday published a tweet from its official X account
against racism.
"From Naples to the world, shout it out loud: no to racism",
said the tweet which has a video with Napoli players framed in
close-up saying phrases in their own language against racism.
