(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 19 - An Italian high school student made a 'pistol' gesture in the direction of Premier Giorgia Meloni as she was briefing the Senate on this week's EU Council meeting Tuesday.
The head teacher of the liceo Righi in Rome, Cinzia Giacomobono, told ANSA the boy would face action.
"We will take disciplinary action," she said.
"You don't do these things," she added, while saying that she knew there were "extreme left students in our school, who are critical of the government, as well as far right students."

Meloni said she was "struck" by the fact that "such a gesture" be made on the anniversary of the March 19, 2002 assassination in Bologna of labour law reform expert Marco Biagi by the New Red Brigades, a "servant of the State who gave his life for his country".
