(ANSA) - ROME, APR 9 - The government is thinking about more
spending cuts, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti told a press
conference after the approval of the DEF economic blueprint
Tuesday.
"Obviously at the ministry we are thinking how we can go further
in the direction of spending cuts," he said.
But he cautioned that the economic impact of the Superbonus
green building renovation benefit scheme crimped the scope for
cuts.
"We did not wish for the disaster of the Superbonus ," he said.
"This complicates the picture, honestly".
The Superbonus is said to be weighing on accounts to the tune of
122 billion euros. (ANSA).
