(ANSA) - ROME, APR 19 - The Jewish Brigade of WWII partisan
representatives has been absent from April 25 Liberation Day
events for years while always being invited, partisans group
ANPI said Friday after pro-Palestinian students called for
"Zionist symbols" to be banned from this year's rallies and
marches amid the war in Gaza.
"We as ANPI have never placed vetoes on participation in our
parade," said Marina Pierlorenzi, president of the ANPI branch
in Rome.
"All those who feel anti-fascist and believe in democracy,
freedom and justice have always been invited.
"The Jewish Brigade, however, has not participated in our parade
for years, although it has always been invited". (ANSA).
