(ANSA) - ROME, APR 22 - The us of migration undermines the EU
and NATO, Italy and Finland said in a non-paper presented to EU
foreign ministers in Luxembourg Monday.
"The use of migration as a hybrid instrument of influence aims
at the erosion of national capabilities, security, trust and the
disruption of the decision-making process of targeted
governments, the European Union and NATO as a whole," they said.
"As part of a common European approach, Italy and Finland wish
to promote EU action to combat migrant smuggling and the
instrumentalisation of migration".
The non paper also said EU border agency Frontex should work in
third countries too. (ANSA).
